Mr. Rick Schubert has conducted over 100 workplace investigations over the course of a 40-year career in Human Resources law.  Rick began his career as an employment and labour lawyer, litigating arbitrations, wrongful dismissal, Human Rights, Labour Relations Board, Workers’ Compensation and Occupational Health and Safety matters as well as conducting collective bargaining and workplace investigations. He was the hired by one of his clients to be Vice President of Human Resources where he oversaw scores of investigations for assaults, fraud, theft and harassment. He subsequently specialized in various highly technical aspects of human resources law and led human resources consulting practices as a Partner and Director at Big Four Firms in Canada. This work always included various methodologies of workplace investigations and risk assessments such as direct one-on-one investigative interviews, confidential survey-based investigation tools and 360-degree performance and workplace risk assessments.

Mr. Schubert now serves as Chair of several Boards, does pro bono social justice legal work and focuses on workplace investigative services with Investigative Risk Management.
