Health and safety of the workplace is a legislative requirement in Ontario. Bill 168 Violence & Harassment in the Workplace mandates effective policy, audits, risk assessments, training and investigations all designed to protect the individual employee. In appropriate cases, we will involve legal counsel directly in the conduct of the investigation and in the preparation of a comprehensive and detailed written report, including findings of fact and, where specifically requested, a legal opinion regarding an appropriate course of action for the client. With the assistance of legal counsel, we also provide training to supervisory and management staff on how to conduct a fair and unbiased investigation.
