IRM has its headquarters in Barrie, Ontario, with satellite offices in Toronto and Belleville.  IRM was founded by the previous owner of a firm that grew to be one of the largest Private Investigation companies in Canada. This owner identified the need to address emerging challenges in the industry and established a new innovative company. IRM offers a full range of sophisticated private investigative services including surveillance, WSIB investigations, complex and sensitive criminal, corporate and insurance investigations.

We are seeking “professional” Surveillance Investigators in the Province of Ontario who have experience in surveillance.

– minimum of 2 to 3 years of surveillance experience preferred

Must have:
>a valid Private Investigator license
> a valid driver’s license
> a reliable and suitable surveillance vehicle
> HD camcorder, covert camera
> a proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of software, particularly Word
> extensive writing skills in report writing

>high speed internet

>laptop or tablet
> the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adhere to stringent reporting guidelines

IRM was recently awarded a number of major contracts and with this in mind, IRM is looking to hire truly motivated investigators on a part-time capacity, to start immediately; however, it is anticipated that these positions could turn into full-time opportunities.

The exceptional candidate of choice will have the following qualifications, for consideration:

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience as a claims adjuster or have professional investigative experience.
  • Law enforcement background is a definite asset;
  • well versed in obtaining statements with respect to AB, casualty, property, or auto PD;
  • major experience in report writing;
  • highly analytical;
  • a valid driver’s licence and vehicle;
  • excellent customer service skills;

Key responsibilities will include:

  • conducting detailed investigations of claims involving potentially fraudulent activity, sexual assaults, workplace theft, OHSA: Section 32 Violence and Harassment in the Workplace etc
  • providing clear and concise final reports to our client with recommendations outlining a course of action; and
  • providing evidence to support case recommendations.

Investigative Risk Management is looking for an aspiring Jr. Marketing Specialist.  This entry-level position is a fantastic opportunity for a co-op student or recent graduate to test their creative ideas and gain valuable professional experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing effective marketing strategies, assisting with campaign development, preparation for conferences and events, preparing white papers, setting up Lunch and Learns, RFPs and advertising propaganda.


Responsibilities may include:

  • Develop marketing strategies for projects, including company website, using social media, specifically LinkedIn, to utilize all manners of advertising, white papers, RFPs, etc
  • Preparation of presentations for large conferences, Lunch and Learns, etc
  • Set up Lunch and Learns within possible clientele offices;
  • Analyze data to determine campaign efficiency
  • Ensure creative marketing materials undergo regular review and adhere to brand guidelines
  • Develop and communicate marketing plans, campaign results and project recommendations to senior management team.



  • Professional, volunteer or educational experience in a marketing role and/or employee and volunteer recruitment
  • Specific training in Marketing, Advertising or related discipline would be an asset
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
